Description

During the summer of 1977 the Army, with the permission of Eddie Klein, performed a benefit session in the warehouse of Klein's of Monticello. Accompanied by Gregg "The Greenman", who mixed and checked the VU meters, the bands played their standards along with some new songs including "Who Dunnit" with lyrics penned by The Greenman. The tune "Modulation" was halted halfway through due to the appearance of the local police, who came in t o investigate the "loud noises" they were hearing outside. A paranoid General rushed to the bathroom to flush "evidence" down the toilet, but there was really no cause for alarm. The officers had been enjoying the music and were only making a routine check. The Army resumed the session and then proceeded to Roark's Tavern to celebrate the completion of their sixth album. The session runs 45 minutes, but was released on a 60 minute cassette tape. The remaining 15 minutes are 4 songs from the studio sessions from Alpha 6 and Dangerman that never made it on to the official releases, mostly from the "Starless and Broken Black" 8-track tape, beginning with "I Got Air".
