El villancico "Noche de Paz" (conocido originalmente en alem谩n como "Stille Nacht, Heilige Nacht") es, sin duda, el villancico m谩s famoso del mundo, traducido a m谩s de 300 idiomas. Naci贸 en Austria en 1818, cuando el sacerdote Joseph Mohr de la iglesia de San Nicol谩s en Oberndorf escribi贸 la letra y le pidi贸 a su amigo, el maestro de escuela y organista Franz Xaver Gruber, que le pusiera m煤sica para que pudiera ser cantada con acompa帽amiento de guitarra en la Misa de Gallo de Nochebuena.
