Embracing sexual orientation is one of the leading factors and catalysts for faith shifts and deconstruction. Susan Cottrell tells her own story that began when one of her children came out as queer. This launched a radical reevaluation of her theology, leading to discover the overriding principle of love over rules. Susan and her husband, Robert, founded FreedHearts, whose mission is to promote love, inclusion, belonging and hope for all.
