The 1st sermon in a series of 4 from the book of Ruth for Advent.
The story of Ruth is an Advent story; a story of waiting in the dark for light and life. In this sermon, we meet Naomi, who has lost her husband and children in a faraway land, but who, surprisingly, gains a foreign, yet faithful daughter-in-law, Ruth. Although life seems bleak and bitter, hopeless and helpless, God is moving to not only bless these women, but to bless the entire world with Hope.
