Paul reveals one of the central themes of his letter: whether he lives or dies, he does it all for and in and with Christ. While living means he can continue on in the good work of Gospel ministry for others, dying means finally resting in the full presence of Jesus. In either case, Paul shows the Christian that life, death, and everything in between is in Christ.
