Now that Paul has denounced the Colossian Heresy (that we are saved by legalism or paganism), he reflects on how Christians are to live out their day-to-day lives, specifically by calling Christians to turn from sins of sex and speech (their old humanity), and instead be united in Christ's resurrection and love for one another (their new humanity).
