The 9th study in Amos: The Shepherd Prophet
In our final part of a 9-week study, Amos reveals the fifth and final vision of judgment from the LORD. This vision is about God's utter destruction of Israel's false temple in Bethel and about a sweeping annihilation of Israel's people. The LORD also reveals how Israel is arrogant to think his love is only meant for them and not all the nations and peoples of the world. But the book ends with a message of hope that God will be faithful to a remnant of people, which points us, ultimately, to to coming of the Messiah, Jesus the King.
