Paul encourages the struggling Philippians with reminders of their friends, Timothy and Epaphroditus, both who put their own wellbeing on the line for the sake of this church. Here, we see the value of self-giving friendship, portrayed not just in these saints, but first and foremost in Jesus' own friendship with us.
