Today we wrap up Follow: The Art of Discipleship. Remember: Jesus didn't come to live a sinless life and willingly went to the cross so that we could identify as Christians. He did all of that so we could have a relationship with our creator. That relationship begins with an invitation to follow. And followers of Jesus are called Disciples. A disciple is someone who is following Jesus, being changed by Jesus, and is committed to the Mission of Jesus. Today we are going to talk about that Mission. But to have that Mission you have to have the right Gospel. The Follow-Me Gospel. If you have another Gospel that makes following optional, you will not be motivated to be on Mission. Bill Hull says it like this "The gospel you proclaim determines the disciple you produce." Or you could say it this way, "The gospel a person believes determines the disciple they become."
