Shane goes full Canadian with explanations of local catch phrases and at the end of the show even wears a toque. A what? Karl levels up to 42 but with old age comes the inevitable problems working a microphone. Joel is cheeky as ever even if he doesn't quite know what that means.
News and Conversations
- Sony reveals the user interface for their upcoming PlayStation 5 console and Karl goes through the exciting details. Joel isn't excited and Shane would have prefered waiting to see it for the first time when firing up his new console.
- Borderlands 3 gets a next gen upgrade on PS5 and XBOX Series S/X and it's free. Joel may finally play the game both Shane and Karl consider one of their favorites from last year.
- Phil Spencer, Head of XBOX, says they do not need to put Bethesda games on other consoles in order to recoup their 7.5 million dollar investment. Joel gets to say 'I Told You So' but then Shane and Karl make a solid argument for them delaying games from other consoles for a while as timed exclusives rather than shut them down entirely.
- Karl has another historical, landmark moment on ABOG wherein he cancels one of his console preorders live during the episode recording. Hear which console he decided to keep. Fans of the show, just like Joel last episode, will already know which he stuck with.
