Jerod called in today and shared three fears that he is dealing with. Fear #1 has to do with not being able to see his family in times of Covid and that his parents are getting older. Covid is keeping a physical barrier from those that we love and it can make it hard to reconcile with the responsibility to maintain a distance so that we do not end up getting our parents and family sick. His second fear #2 has to do with companionship and being close to a sweetheart but again how in times of Covid its hard to form relationships. Jarod also talks about how hard he works and how its hard to make time to form bonds of companionship when you are a workaholic. Lastly, fear #3 is racism and how Jerod has to deal with difficult situations of being discriminated against and how he realizes every day that his life can be changed in an instant - he is always aware and alert to the fact that he can be targeted for being black in America. He talks about how every time he leaves his house he is aware of this vulnerable state. But Jerod also talks about his sheer joy of dancing and how he brings everything to his dance classes and no matter how hard a day he has had he makes sure that anyone taking his dance class receives the full experience and the power of dance.
