Today Ryan called in to share her story about going through a difficult experience in college. Ryan was an athlete her entire life and on the softball team. She noticed changes effecting her game and health. She was constantly fatigued and out of energy. Her teammates noticed that she was not doing well and forced her to go to the doctors where she was told that she was close to falling into a diabetic coma. Ryan shares her story about depression, isolation, body image and learning to be a new person living with type 1 diabetes. Ryan talks about being an actor and performing using human and vulnerability, using fear as a motivation, the power of comedy and being a people person.
