Boa tarde, meus amigos.

1. To use = usar
Ex: You used me! (Você me usou!)

2. To Wear = vestir
Ex: I wore this t-shirt yesterday. (Eu vesti esta camiseta ontem).

3. Used To = Costumava
Ex: Guns’n’Roses – Used to Love Her

“I used to love her,
but i had to kill her
I used to love her,
but i had to kill her
I had to put her, six feet under
and I can still hear her complain”

Outro exemplo: Michael Jackson – Ben
“I used to say "I" and "me"
Now it's "us", now it's "we"”

4. To be used to = estar acostumado a
Ex: I am used to exercising every day. (Estou acostumado a me exercitar todos os dias).

“All this running around, well it's getting me down
Just give me a pain that I'm used to”

5. To get used to = Estar se acostumando a
Ex: I am getting used to waking up early. (Estou me acostumando a acordar cedo).

6. To feel like + ING = Estar a fim de
Ex: I feel like travelling,
I feel like going to the beach.

Observe que o verbo que vem após deve necessariamente estar com ING no final.

Assim, vamos ouvir aquela conhecida música do Scissor Sisters, que diz

“But I don’t feel like dancin’
When the old Joanna plays
My heart could take a chance
But my two feet can’t find a way
You think that I could muster up a little soft, shoop devil sway
But I don’t feel like dancin’
No sir, no dancin’ today.

Don’t feel like dancin’, dancin’
Even if i find nothin' better to do
Don’t feel like dancin’, dancin’
Why’d you break down when I’m not in the mood?
Don’t feel like dancin’, dancin’
Rather be home with no one when I can't get down with you”
