Hoje eu gostaria de tratar sobre a palavrinha “ever” e suas combinações.
Ever – alguma vez
Better than ever (melhor que nunca) / Stronger than ever / Easier than ever
Everlasting = que dura para sempre
Mas combinado a certas palavras e termos, tem uma gama de significados muito grandes. Não vou apontar todos eles, mas alguns que julgo importantes.
Há uma música do Rick Astley (anos 80) que diz o seguinte

Então, forever = para sempre (a maioria de vcs já sabia disso, né?)
Um ponto importante em qq idioma é saber os seus pronomes interrogativos para se ter uma boa conversa, então se vc ainda não sabe, eu sugiro que decore ainda hoje. Os principais são:
What – o que, quel
Who – quem
When – quando
Where – onde
Mas o que tem isso a ver com a história do “ever”? Simples, os pronomes interrogativos, combinados ao ever ampliam e modificam sua significação.
Assim, se “what” quer dizer “o que”, “whatever” quer dizer “o que quer q seja”
