Back in the day of Columbus, virtually all people firmly believed that the earth was flat. In order to dispel this belief, it took a daring risky expedition. Fortunately, you and I do not have to risk our lives to dispel the most ridiculous fitness myths.
Sweating. Soreness. Spot Training. There are mythical beliefs about these and other urban gym legends that are flat-out false. Learning the truth will make a difference in how you train and will definitely help you to train more effectively. For example, hundreds of situps and running for hours at a time are not the best way to shape your midsection. If you're going to put in the effort, you want to be smart about it.
