This week Steve Swanson, host of The Muppetcast, joins us to talk about The Muppets. Over the years, Disney has shown major signs of their efforts to try to bring back The Muppets to a larger audience, but it’s been a bit of a rollercoaster ride. The Muppet Show was revived only to have it canceled again a short while later. Steve joins us to talk about his show, The Muppetcast, that focuses on Jim Henson creations like The Muppets, Fraggle Rock, and Sesame Street. Then we’ll talk about some of the triumphs we’ve seen over the past several years with the Muppets as well as their roadblocks, and then look ahead to discuss the direction Disney seems to be headed in with The Muppets.

This week in Disney news, new guest experiences are coming to Disney’s Aulani resort in Hawaii, Walt Disney World theme parks will begin scanning the fingers of children ages 3 and up at the turnstiles, a new massive-sized treat is being served at Whispering Canyon Cafe in Disney’s Wilderness Lodge resort, and more.

Additionally, we have a very special guest on the show who is here to talk about her new recurring blog articles, which will be featured on All About the Mouse Central, called The Road to Imagineering. Rachel is a senior in high school who has a dream of becoming a Disney Imagineer, and she is going to talk to us about her new blog articles documenting her journey in achieving her dream. The articles will also give tips to anyone else out there who may want to follow in her footsteps.

All of this and much more on this week’s episode of the All About the Mouse Disney Podcast!
