Sig Anderman is an American entrepreneur and philanthropist. In 1998, he founded Ellie Mae, Inc., his fourth start-up over a fifty year business career. Ellie Mae, started with his wife, Susan, in their living room, became the dominant mortgage origination software in America, used by thousands of banks and lenders who collectively fund half the mortgages originated every year. Ellie Mae, which went public in 2011, was acquired in 2020 by Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange.
Prior to launching his business career, Sig practiced law in New York, working on many of the pioneering environmental lawsuits that paved the way for protection of our natural resources and the environment.
Sig is President of the Anderman Foundation and serves on the Board of Directors of the Natural Resources Defense Council Action Fund.
