Guest: Dr. Jennifer Morse, author and founder of The Ruth Institute

The sexual revolution of the sixties is wearing thin as people come to realize the shallow, self-indulgent lifestyle it promoted has wrecked their lives. Momentum is building as more people seek deeper relationships than the risky hook-up culture provided. The sexual revolutionaries defined the terms of the debate. They dictated the cultural narrative by glorifying three destructive ideologies – contraception, divorce, and gender. All three deliberately aimed to remove any connection between sex and responsibility. Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse founded the Ruth Institute in 2008 to help young people avoid the poisonous personal consequences of the sexual revolution. 

The full story of the destruction has never been honestly told. By providing scientifically sound evidence, carefully reasoned arguments, and compelling personal testimonies, The Ruth Institute equips people to understand, appreciate, and defend traditional Christian sexual ethics. For example, their mother-daughter course on puberty fosters confidence and trust in natural womanhood. Dr. Morse’s YouTube podcasts, The Dr. J Show, gives voice to those harmed by divorce, the hook-up culture, and family breakdown. The Ruth Institute aims to provide an in-depth resource to help parents lead their children to become healthy and emotionally articulate adults who understand the importance of their God-given sexuality.

Biography: Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse earned her Ph.D. at the University of Rochester and taught economics at Yale and George Mason Universities for 15 years. She founded The Ruth Institute in 2008 to address the whole range of marriage and family issues brought on by the sexual revolution. She has authored or co-authored six books and spoken around the world. Her work has been translated into multiple languages.  Dr. Morse was named one of the “Catholic Stars of 2013.” She and her husband are the parents of two and were foster parents of eight. They currently live in Lake Charles, Louisiana, where the work of the Ruth Institute continues.
