Vocalists, historians, and activists Hannah Grantham & Tahira Clayton share their stories of growing up in the South, meeting at the world-renowned UNT jazz studies program, to re-connecting year's later at the Women in Jazz Conference only to begin to realize the racial and sexist traumas that they had both faced particularly in college.  Hannah & Tahira courageous talk in-depth through personal experience and historically about anti-blackness, anti-blackness in jazz, sexism in jazz, microaggressions, white supremacy, and the inherent issues with the institutionalization of jazz.  Go follow Tahira & Hannah on all platforms.
