Percussionist and arts consultant Sidney Hopson shares his story of growing up in LA, starting college at age 12 and going onto having a multi-hyphenate career in the film/tv recording industry, the orchestral music industry, and public policy. Having played with the LA Phil to Stevie Wonder to recording on over 100 film/tv soundtracks, that is only part of what Sidney gives to the world. As an arts consultant, he continues to take work with organizations to dismantle the deep systemic racism that runs throughout organizations from funders to the musicians themselves.
