シュウさんとロンさんは、日本語学校のクラスメイトです。週に1回、一緒に初級クラスで日本語を勉強しています。
シュウ「ロンさん、最近、日本語の勉強はどうですか。」ロン「文法を勉強するのは楽しいですが、漢字を覚えるのは難しくて、大変です。シュウさんは、どうやって漢字を勉強していますか。」シュウ「私も漢字は苦手ですが、毎日ノートに漢字を3つ書くのをルーティンにしていますよ。」ロン「へえ、毎日3つですか。1ヶ月で90字勉強できるのは、いいですね。」シュウ「そうなんです。ノートには、勉強したい漢字を使って、文を書くことにしていますよ。そうすると、もっとよく覚えられます。」ロン「文ですか。たとえば？」シュウ「『服』という漢字を覚えたいときには、『新しい服を買います。』という文を作って、一緒に書くんです。」ロン「なるほど。いいですね。私もやってみます！」シュウ「でも、私は話すのが苦手なんです。ロンさんは、どうやって話す練習をしていますか。」ロン「シャドーイングをするのがおすすめですよ。私は週に3回、日本語のポッドキャストを聞いて、シャドーイングをしています。」シュウ「シャドーイングには興味がありますが、日本人の話すスピードは速すぎて、難しくないですか。」ロン「YouTubeやSpotifyでは、自分でスピードが変えられますから、私はいつも少し遅いスピードでシャドーイングをしていますよ。」シュウ「それは便利ですね。私もやってみます。」ロン「でも、一番難しいのは、勉強を休まないで、続けることです。」シュウ「そうですね。一人で勉強するのは、ちょっと大変です。」ロン「シュウさん、もし良かったら、これから週に1回会うときに、一週間どんな勉強をしたか、一緒に話しませんか。」シュウ「いいですね。来週もロンさんにレポートすると考えたら、毎日勉強できそうです。」ロン「一緒に勉強する人がいると、良いモチベーションになりますね。」シュウ「じゃあ、来週また話しましょう！」
