Description

In the "Pastor In Training" podcast episode titled "Mosaic," I had the opportunity to share my spiritual autobiography. Divided into two parts, the episode unfolds the significance of sharing one's spiritual journey and delves into the intricacies of my personal experiences.

In the initial segment, I discussed the importance of sharing one's spiritual journey, emphasizing how testimonies can inspire and encourage others. I highlighted their role as powerful tools for evangelism, showcasing God's faithfulness, building community, overcoming fear and shame, fostering personal growth, giving glory to God, and contributing to teaching and discipleship.

Transitioning into the second part, I narrated my life story, recounting childhood struggles marked by bullying and transformative moments that shaped my faith. I explored experiences with mental health, relationships, and profound encounters with God. Noteworthy moments included a mystical experience in 2017, a prayer for a life partner leading to meeting my future wife in 2011, and a profound mystical encounter in 2019 that propelled me towards becoming a pastor.

Describing my journey through different churches, I addressed challenges, unlearned harmful theology, and found a spiritual home in Friendship Church. I shared insights into my academic pursuit at Jakes' Divinity School, experiences serving at Friendship Church, and a challenging period with a manipulative figure, Justin Meier.

The narrative continued with my career struggles, a breakthrough in understanding work as a source of blessing, and successful employment at SpaceX. While my spiritual journey led me outside traditional church settings, its steadfast nature remained. I reflected on my current involvement with the Disciples of Christ denomination, an online Bible study initiative, and my pursuit of ordination within the Christian Universalist Association.

I encourage listeners to share their stories, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to inspire others and build a community that follows Christ. The podcast episode serves as a comprehensive overview of my spiritual journey, encompassing challenges, revelations, and the ongoing pursuit of faith.
