Summary: Its been nearly 200 years now since Jesus made the promise to come and he hasnt yet. Have we become suspicious that he wont come?
Or is it that our souls have become tired of waiting? That as evil and suffering seemingly increase in the world, our souls have become too weary to believe that he will come?? You see, there is a deficiency in the lives of Christ-followers today, in terms of discipleship and faith. When we look at the early church and the passion with which they lived, expecting Christs return any moment; can we really say we have that urgency and expectancy in our lives?
