The topic of 'death' is not an easy nor fun one to discuss. Death is a somber, resisted, even - until it's too late - ignored subject. Part of the reason for that is understandable - death separates us from the people that we love. However, in this passage Jesus demonstrates His power and victory over death painting a picture that promises that, although death may be a lot of things, through Jesus it doesn't have to be feared.
