Summary:Luke 4:16 is probably the most dramatic opening moment of any story told in the Bible, and perhaps more importantly heralds the ministry of the One who would change history. Jesus drops a bombshell on his own church and begins to explain the Kingdom of God, only it doesnt look anything they expected!
Why is it, that throughout history, God has chosen to announce his Kingdom through the most unexpected circumstances and the most unexpected people; the poor, the outcast, the excluded, the alien in our midst?
If that is true, why is the North American church today a place for the haves instead of the have-nots? This week, Laurence East shares the journey of the Metro community on the streets of Kelowna, and the revelation of Jesus among the poor.
