There are many great events recorded in the Bible yet there are some that even stand out among them - the feeding of the 5000 by Jesus is a part of that group. However, the greatness of the event doesn't just lie in the fact that Jesus could feed a lot of people with little to work with, the greatness of the passage lies with what Jesus was signifying in the act: that He is the Bread of Life who comes to give a life of abundance, a life with of such great fulfillment there's even leftovers.
