Text: I Timothy 1:3-11
Summary: Legalism in the church, prevalent certainly today, has a long history. Legalism can produce a lot of things and none of them are good - arrogance, defeatism, or in the case of the church at Ephesus, division, arguments factions and so on. Paul's desire was something else entirely: love stemming from a pure heart, a sincere faith and a good conscience, things discovered in the receiving of the glorious gospel of Jesus.
