In this episode, we take a deep dive into the idea of connecting with parents based on shared life stages rather than age. We believe that as parents, age becomes more irrelevant compared to shared parenting experiences or family challenges, or even the parent's stage of life. Drawing from our own experiences, we stress the importance of finding community through mom groups, school, and kids' activities. We relate the process of making parent friends to dating, highlighting the need for meaningful connections beyond our kids' playdates. It's normal to sometimes feel like you can't connect with other parents, and navigating these sometimes awkward mis-connections is similar to any relationship. We also share the story behind Village Mom Club and its mission to foster a supportive community for moms. And finally, we emphasize the importance of finding like-minded people to combat feelings of isolation in parenthood. We're in this together!
