André Vandenberg is an ATP MEL-rated pilot for Atlas Air. He is typed in the CL-65 and B777. As a CFI and CFII, and instructed for Cirrus Aircraft before getting hired by PSA. André’s current work at Atlas brings him through Anchorage on trans-Pacific flights. We discuss the ego versus confidence, what it takes to get an ATP rating, and the cargo pilot lifestyle.
