Off The Underside has released a brand new interview with former St Mirren, Barnsley, Hibernian, Yeni Malatyaspor, Salford City, and current St Johnstone player Stephen Mallan.
Jamie and Davie sat down with Stephen to discuss his remarkable career. They started by talking about his incredible journey, beginning at St Mirren when he was just four years old. He, through a lot of hard work, broke into the first team and scored incredible long-range goals. They then moved on to his time at Barnsley, exploring why things didn’t quite work out for him there.
Stephen also shared his experiences at Hibs under Neil Lennon. He talked about the bizarre Instagram messages that led him to Turkey and his time at Salford City, where he had the chance to bump into some Manchester United legends. After returning to Scotland with St Johnstone, he expressed his excitement about the team’s current top-of-the-Championship position.
Throughout the interview, Stephen opened up about his own injury struggles, mental battles, and how he learned to embrace his resilience.
