Saying "no" often feels so much harder than saying "yes," doesn’t it?

It’s not that we don’t want to protect our time or energy, but somewhere along the way, we’ve learned that saying no makes us feel guilty, like we’re letting someone down or being "selfish. "

But here’s the thing: Every time we push ourselves to say yes just to avoid that bad feeling, we chip away at our own emotional and mental well-being.
