UPDATE : In 2023, Ezra McCandless requested a new trial, citing ineffective counsel and excluded evidence. After a hearing, the judge denied the motion in November. Her legal team has since filed an appeal, continuing to challenge her 2019 conviction for the murder of Alex Woodworth.
