Description

Tonight’s episode of the Inner Circle Podcast was a powerful and deeply emotional conversation in the wake of yet another senseless act of gun violence in Minneapolis. Two innocent children lost their lives. Seventeen others were wounded. Families shattered. A community broken.

As a father of three children who attend Catholic schools, this tragedy struck painfully close to home. I opened up about my struggle to understand America’s addiction to guns, while Ms. B spoke passionately about the lack of resources and support systems that too often push people down dangerous paths. Together, we reflected on our grief, our fear, and our hope for safer communities.

Later in the show, we were joined by our guest, Edrence Yalley — a mental health and wellness advocate whose personal journey has shaped her mission to transform lives. From her lived experiences, including becoming a young mother at 17, Edrence shared powerful insights on the importance of mental wellness, breaking cultural stigmas, and healing through nature and community.

She offered heartfelt advice for families and children coping with today’s tragedy and reminded us that while we cannot control the pain, we can create spaces to heal, connect, and support one another.

This episode is a tribute to the lives lost, a call for compassion, and a reminder that even in our darkest moments, we must come together as one community to seek healing, hope, and change.
