Danica Huber
Retired U.S. Marine Corps
Military Transition Liaison, Workforce Training Academy (Arizona)
Danica is a retired United States Marine Corps officer who served her country for more than a decade. On the program, Danica discusses her journey from Arizona to serving in the military. Similar to so many service members, the military provided stability and growth opportunities. While in the service, she was responsible for the Supply Battalion and managed a team of roughly 30 soldiers. Danica is very proud of the opportunity to serve her country.
When the time to transition from the military came, making this adjustment was tough because the military provided the stability and 'esprit de corps' that embodies the spirit of military service. And like so many members of the military, the civilian world seemed daunting, unstructured, and uncertain.
Danica describes her journey from high school dropout to entering the military and then leaving to build a career in the private sector. Today, she is helping a workforce training organization understand the process of working with Soldiers seeking to make the transition to the civilian work world. Her journey of military service, having a family, and building a career is inspiring.
