Prosperity Preachers – preaching blessings without repentance
“For the love of money is the root of all evil…” – 1 Timothy 6:10
Religious Performers – quoting scripture but living in sin
“Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof…” – 2 Timothy 3:5
Seminary Scholars Without the Spirit
“Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.” – 2 Timothy 3:7
Social Media Christians – posting for likes, not for the Lord
“This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.” – Matthew 15:8
Legalists – stuck on tradition, not walking in grace
“For by grace are ye saved through faith…” – Ephesians 2:8–9
Judgmental Church Folk – quick to condemn, slow to love
“I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.” – Matthew 9:13
False Prophets – pimping the pulpit for profit
“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits…” – 1 Timothy 4:1
And let’s be clear:
Jesus didn’t come to start religion. He came to set captives free.
📖 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me… to preach deliverance to the captives…” – Luke 4:18
📖 “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” – John 4:24
📖 “Then said Jesus… If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.” – Matthew 16:24
Real followers of Jesus walk in truth, not tradition. They repent, not perform. They serve in silence, not shout for likes. So ask yourself:
➡️ Are you walking with Jesus… or just wearing the label?
Because the Pharisees are still here. But so are the remnant—those who seek Him in spirit and in truth.
