Many caregivers serve others and neglect their own health and well-being. Whether you are taking care of a sick parent or a child with disabilities you need to create space to take care of yourself .
In this interview Nicole Dauz tell her story about being a caregiver and gives tips to help caregivers to create the space they need to take care of their emotional and physical health and well-being.
Nicole's self-talk has evolved from selfish to self-care and it has become very empowering. She learned quickly that self-care would play an important role in my world as a mother of child with a rare genetic disease and autism.
As she blogged about her caregiver journey, she learned that many other caregivers are feeling overwhelmed and looking for ways to cope. So many people tell her that she is lucky - its not luck. Its about giving yourself permission to be happy, setting boundaries and taking the time for yourself.
As a self-care coach, she helps caregivers discover what brings them joy, set boundaries for themselves and create their own unique self-care plan.
