This final episode of 2025 is a love letter.
In Dear Becoming Therapists, I speak directly to the ones who are choosing this path—not because it is easy or tidy, but because something in them knows it matters. This episode is an opening… a threshold… and a soft beginning to the work that is becoming my book: Dear Becoming Therapists: A Love Letter to the Ones Who Will Carry the Legacy.
I share why this book has been living in my body and heart for so long, and why it feels essential in this moment—when the field of therapy is being asked to remember its humanity, its reverence, and its soul. I offer gentle teasers of what’s to come: conversations about self-of-the-therapist work, intuition in the therapy room, the sacredness of presence, nervous system care, grief and complexity, boundaries that honor the human behind the role, and the quiet truth that you are the most important tool in the room.
This episode is not about technique or perfection. It’s about becoming. About staying soft in a world that asks therapists to harden. About learning how to hold others without abandoning yourself. About honoring the lineage of this work while daring to do it differently.
As this season comes to a close, I also share that I’ll be taking a six-week pause—a spacious exhale—to tend to the writing, the listening, and the deeper work behind the scenes. Season Two of the podcast will return on February 10th, 2026, carrying forward these themes of presence, embodiment, intuition, and relational healing.
If you are a therapist-in-training, a seasoned clinician, or someone who feels the quiet call to hold sacred space for others—this episode is for you. You belong here. And the work you are becoming matters.
