Welcome back to Gavel and Gossip, where we're continuing our discussion of the bizarre legal battle between Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively. We’re going through the judge’s 132-page dismissal order, which lays out the most shocking and interesting facts from Baldoni’s complaint and the facts the judge thought were relevant and important on whether to dismiss the complaint.
Baldoni and Wayfarer’s complaint alleges a series of escalating demands from Lively, which we found completely wild. Baldoni claims Lively was making “daily altercations to the script,” a right she seemingly felt she had as an executive producer. He also says she insisted on full control over her character’s wardrobe, including using her own stylist and even choosing $5,000 shoes for a character who was a small business owner. We also discuss how Baldoni created a "monster" by never telling Lively "no" to her escalating demands.
The allegations get even more intense, veering into what could be seen as sexual harassment claims. The complaint seems to admit many of the alleged sexual harassment allegations but tries to explain and justify the actions. Baldoni's complaint admits that Lively felt uncomfortable when Heath looked at her while she was getting her makeup removed. The complaint also admits that Baldoni told Lively about his past pornography addiction but tries to explain and justify his actions.
