Description

It’s not uncommon for me to get my kids to bed and then feel like I can’t even move. And I KNOW I’m not alone because I talk to women all the time who tell me the same thing.

They are just so tired by the end of the day that all they can bring themselves to do is scroll on their phone, which doesn’t help them feel rested, only more frazzled.

Well, I’ve been struggling with this for a while. With young children, a part time job, and thinking I can “do it all,” I’ve not only not been “doing it all,” but I’ve been exhausted, discouraged, and resentful. Basically, I’ve not been in a good place mentally, or spiritually.

SO, noticing this I’ve done two things: prayed about it, and FINALLY decided to change some things. So here is my reflection on what the Gospel has to say about why we are all so exhausted and some ideas that might help you find a bit of refreshment.

I’m SELLING you something! Emily Stimpson Chapman is a prolific writer and a gifted gatherer, as I will call her. She has a wonderful take on hospitality and just released a cookbook, “Around the Catholic Table.” Don’t forget to pick it up in time for the Holidays.

If you want to dive into my other work you can purchase my book Rekindled, or one of my Bible Studies.
