Description

What if balance isn’t real? For years, I chased it like a finish line that didn’t exist—thinking if I could just find balance, I’d finally feel peace. But peace doesn’t come from balance. It comes from something softer, more human. Something I call the pivot.

There was a season in my life where every day felt like a race. Running a salon, leading my team, raising three girls, and trying to show up for everyone—wife, mom, friend, leader—yet ending most nights thinking, I didn’t do enough.

I used to believe that if I could somehow keep all the plates spinning evenly, I’d find peace. But what I learned (the hard way) is that balance is an illusion. Life isn’t something you hold perfectly still—it’s something you learn to move with.

The pivot became my saving grace. It’s the moment I stop striving for equal parts and start asking, “Where am I needed right now?”

🌿 Key Themes + Takeaways

Balance is a myth. Life isn’t meant to be equally divided—it’s meant to be lived in rhythm.

Peace comes from awareness, not perfection. Pay attention to what (and who) needs you most in this moment.

The pivot is your power. It’s not about doing it all; it’s about being present where you are.

Rhythm replaces balance. Think seasons, not schedules. Life flows—let it.

Boundaries create freedom. Intentional disconnection is how we make room for real connection.
