“I want to be a big bright bulb and shine out to other people.”

Brandon Scheid is a professional kiteboarder and designer originally from Michigan, now based in Hood River, Oregon. With over a decade of experience pushing the limits in kiteboarding, Brandon built a career on the water—traveling the world, competing at the highest levels, and later transitioning into gear design.

In November 2023, his life took a dramatic turn after a severe paragliding accident left him with a traumatic brain injury, as well as multiple fractures to his back, hips, face, and arms. Since then, Brandon has been on a powerful recovery journey—learning to walk, balance, and rebuild his sense of self.
