Rejection is one of the most painful emotions we will ever have to deal with. No one has never suffered rejection. We all have endured that pain at one time or another in our life but the good thing is this. We don't serve a God who cannot be touched by the feelings of our infirmities. Jesus walked this Earth as a human being and as such suffered rejection. Rejection from those in his hometown as they dismissed him as just Joseph's son. Rejection from the church leadership as they labeled him a heretic and strove to have him killed. Then ultimately rejection from the Father as he turned his back to him as he took on our sin, our disease, our strife and our shame. Jesus cried out from the cross, "My God, My God, Why hast thou forsaken me?" Imagine the heartbreak in that moment.
The good news? Jesus knows how to minister to the rejects. He went to the place of the rejected and ministered to those who were rejected by the rejects.
