Here is part 2 of the Gonzaga 2021 MLB First Year Players Draft series, this time we talk with shortstop Ernie Yake! Yake was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the 10th round of the 2021 MLB First-Year Players Draft. Yake, a Brooks Wallace semifinalist (given to the nation’s best shortstop) hit .333 with 38 runs, and 29 RBIs during his junior season. He was also draft eligible in 2020 but the draft was shortened to 5 rounds due to Covid-19.
