If you lead a team of people, you're the gardener.
You plant the seeds (hire the right people), care for them (develop and guide them, and keep the weeds out (minimize and remove obstacles and bad people ... when did you last ask someone what might be in their way of doing good work?).
Do it well and you'll maximize your chances for better results and more enjoyable days for everyone (a beautiful thing).
If you don't lead a team, think of that garden as you.
Ask yourself, “What am I growing? Am I planting the right seeds in my mind (and body)? Am I taking responsibility for my professional and personal development? Am I keeping the weeds out (bad thoughts, bad ideas, bad people)?”
