I don't know about you, but I loathe being in the dark and I am going to go out on a limb and say I bet you and your team members don't like it either. 

One of the best ways to create and build trust is through open lines of communication and maintaining consistent transparency. That my friends equals deeper employee engagement. The more we see the bigger picture and the role we play, the more likely we are bought in and show up in the role you need us to...don't play in the dark - be the light.

Now, don't shake your heads at me and say it's simple - if it was, there wouldn't be so many articles and books about how to engage your team.
