Hooray for Hollywood! We’re joined by actor, writer, producer Mason McCulley. He's best known for playing Ken on the first three seasons of the critically acclaimed HBO show Insecure. You will also recognize Mason from Grey’s Anatomy, Mom, Castle, Young Sheldon, and HBO’s WestWorld. In this touching episode, Mason shares how the death of his beloved mother in 2023, followed by the death of his best friend – the late Broadway actress known as the protégé of Lucille Ball, Carole Cook – just 3 months later, led to the greatest work (and personal growth) of his life. His story is currently being told through his new stage production Carole Cook Died For My Sins. Mason discusses the one-man play (hello West Hollywood hook-ups and benders!), and his incredible must-hear message of finding magic through grief.
