Description

The Air Jordan 11 is one of the most popular and talked about sneakers in sneaker culture. Over the past decade, the Air Jordan 11 (XI) has retroed every holiday season in colorways such as Black/Red "Bred or Playoff", White/Black "Concord", Grey/Grey "Cool Grey", and Black/White "Space Jam". Every release of this retro Jordan results in hysteria and sometimes riots as the shoe quickly sells out. But why is the Air Jordan 11 so sought after?

Michael Jordan came out of a 17-month retirement and debuted a sneaker that would change sneaker culture. This white/black "Concord" colorway altered the way sneakers were made from the ballistic mesh, carbon fiber spring plate, and the first use of patent leather on a basketball sneaker. Further, MJ went on to have his arguably best single-season ever with Chicago Bulls and started another 3-peat. In addition, Warner Bros "Space Jam" showed the Air Jordan in an all-new light and helped Jordan 11 become a cult favorite with the Space Jam Colorway.

As we prepare for the release of the Air Jordan 11 in the Black/Red (Bred, Playoff) colorway releasing December 14th, take a seat and enjoy an episode of Keeping Stock.
