Repressed emotion in men is one of the most damaging aspects of our society. Creating the narrative that men shouldn’t express themselves in ways that are traditionally seen as feminine, is harmful to those experiencing it as well as witnessing it.
Men have both masculine and feminine energy, and if they are told what they are feeling is invalid, it has a detrimental impact on their psyche. This carries on from generation to generation, unless we collectively take the time to heal our traumas and find happiness in our lives.
Today’s guest is here to discuss the ways toxic masculinity has caused issues in his life and how he has put the work in to heal it, not only within himself but within a community of men.
Hayden Wolfsbauer, a former semi-professional rugby player, all-around athlete, and strength conditioning coach from New Zealand, joins us to talk about his struggles with mental health, addiction, and loss, and how he overcame these hurdles by being vulnerable and becoming his authentic self.
Tune in to hear a story of resilience and power of mind over matter!
