Welcome to our first edition of Bundesliga LEGENDS!

Our first guest is the former Werder Bremen and Norway captain, Rune Bratseth. The former centre-back is regarded as one of the best Norwegian footballers of all time. He was the first Norwegian to win a European club competition, won the Bundesliga and the German Cup twice, won the Norwegian League, and captained both Werder Bremen and Norway during the first half of the 90s, including the World Cup in 1994.

We discuss his unconventional start in professional football, the success of Werder Bremen and his second home, the undefined aura of the legendary Otto Rehhagel, breaking records with the Norwegian national team, thoughts on Werder Bremen ahead of this season, and last but not least, his Dream XI consisting of players he's played with.

During his impressive career in Germany, "Der Elch" was named “Foreigner of the Year “ in 1987/88, “Libero of the Year” in 1988, “Team of the Year” in 1987/88 and 1988/89, and “Team of the Week” 34 times from 1986 to 1994. In 1991, 1992 and 1994 he was named “Norwegian Player of the Year”.  Rune was named Norway’s best player between 1954-2004 at UEFA’s 50-year anniversary, which nominated the “Golden Players” from each European country.
