Germany exit the World Cup at the group stages. Crisis? Yes. A moment of reckoning? Absolutely. Since the World Cup victory in 2014, the German National Team have been on a downward spiral. Questions will now be asked of German talent development and the people responsible. The balance of the team was off (yet again, no clear #9), their best player at the tournament was a 19-year-old (good or bad?) developed at an English Academy, and their defence struggled.
